Anthony J. Kubasek assumed the duties as the Director of Music & Liturgy at Gate of Heaven Catholic Church in 2007 and started the Summer Music Camp Program the same year.
Proficient as a vocalist, clarinetist and pianist, Anthony studied voice with Richard Chapline and vocal pedagogy with Thomas Houser. Additionally, Anthony earned a Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Education from Wilkes University and a Master of Arts in Music Education from Marywood University.
Anthony was the Director of Instrumental Music at Wyoming Seminary in Kinston, Pennsylvania for thirty-two years, prior to his retirement from professional life. Anthony was also a professor at Wilkes University and the Wilkes Community Conservatory. He has also completed extensive coursework at West Chester University, Penn State University and La Salle University.
Anthony received the Teaching Excellence Award from the Board of Higher Education and Ministry of the United Methodist Church and the Maslow Award for teaching excellence from Wyoming Seminary. In addition to his position at Gate of Heaven Church, in his spare time, Anthony has written or arranged over seventy musical compositions.
